How to use Metro FTP Server Android App

Metro FTP Server is a simple app, that can help you transfer your files between your PC and your smartphone.

You MUST be connected to WiFi network in order to make the app working. If you are only connected to Data Connection the app won’t start the server. If you are connected to a VPN, than the server might get start, however, in your PC, the FTP client won’t find the server since its completely a different situation.

Android Side: In Metro FTP App

1. Open The app,
2. Give permission to storage if asked
3. Make sure your WiFi is turned on
4. Make Sure your VPN is turned off (If available)
5. If everything goes fine you should see the following screen

(Note: Your IP address and port might be different then the given one. In the picture ip address is, and the port is 2121)

Desktop Side: In FileZilla Software

1. Download and install FileZilla software. (Visit FileZilla Website)
2. Open The Installed FileZilla software
3. Make sure your android device and your computer is connected under same router
4. In the FileZilla application give the credentials like following:

a. In the host box: give the ip address (in our case its, yours might be different)
b. In the Username box: give your username; (if you didn’t change the username, default username is ftp)
c. In the Password box: give your password; (if you didn’t change your password in the Metro FTP Android App, default password is ftp)
d. In the port box: give your port number; (in our case its 2121)
e. Now click on QuickConnect button, your connection will be started.

(Note: If you have connected successfully you should see the following message)

By ‘control’ means, we will implement features, so that, YOU can have access to your SMS, camera, storage etc from the PC.

      I guess the problem lies in storage access.
      Did you tried changing the directory?
